Charles came home for his mid-tour leave on October 18th.
Mallory and Mommy were super excited to spend two weeks with Charles and his family.
Worried that I might "jinx" his return, I didn't tell Mallory when he was coming home. Charles landed after 11pm at night, while mallory was sound asleep. So, the next morning, she woke up to a surprise- Daddy came in to greet her instead of Mommy or Grandma! It was as sweet a momet as I can describe! The 2 weeks were off to a perfect start!
This was the sign Mallory and Mommy made for Daddy's return. JD was excited to see him, too!
The next day, we all set off for North Carolina. Grandma and Grandpa escorted us all to the airport. We were happy to get this family picture! Stay tuned to all our adventures to follow!
