Chef Mallory takes the cake!

Thanks to our local library, we found out that October 18 was National Cupcake Day!  So, for their Saturday story time and craft, the kids heard stories all about cupcakes, then they made chef hats and decorated their own yummy treats!  Mallory was TOO excited!
Her hat said "Chef Mallory".  But enough about that.... let's get to the cupcakes!
Mallory decorated hers with chocolate icing, M&M's, sprinkles and pretzel sticks.  Alot of the frosting went in her mouth, too!
This is Mallory's little library friend, Abigail.  She comes just about every Saturday, and she really helps us with Mallory!
Abigail read Mallory a story while Grandma and Mommy picked out some library books to take home.
That night, Mommy went out to dinner with friends, and Mallory baked some more with Grandma!  Here she is making Sugar cookies.... and EATING sugar cookie dough!
Then, Mallory made chocolate pudding.  She picked out some of the "glasses" from her kitchen to serve her dessert in.  She filled them to the TOP all by herself!
More fun with cookie dough and cookie cutters!

It is important to note that Mommy was OUT of the house during all this activity.  God bless all the patient Grandmas out there who don't cringe, but instead delight at the MESS made during an evening of baking with a Toddler.  What a gift those Grandmas are.... to ALL of us!
